When does public comment happen?

A: There are two public comment times at Tyrone Town Council meetings. One begins promptly at 7pm, and the second happens at the end of the meeting.

How long can I speak during public comment?

A: 3 minutes

Does public comment need to be related to something on the agenda?

A: No. You are permitted to express support or opposition, raise local issues, or respectfully demand accountability. While questions can be asked, understand that this is a one-way communication and council members cannot respond or debate during this time. We urge you to stay after the meeting to speak directly with council and/or follow up in an email to request answers to your questions.

Anything else I need to specifically prepare for public comment?

A: Prior to speaking, attendees are asked to fill out a comment form and provide it to the town clerk. You will need to state your name and address for the official record.
